MISSION:
The Great Commission in Matthew 28:18–20 is another example of a church's mission, which instructs the church to make disciples of non-believers, baptize them, and teach them God's ways.

  • Connect people: "To connect people to God and one another"

  • Be a place of healing: "To be a place where broken people can find healing in Jesus"

  • Bring people to Christ: "To bring others 'Towards Christ', as we show kindness to others, and share the message of the hope of Jesus"

  • Lead, live, and love: "To lead like Jesus by sharing His message with others. We want to live like Jesus through effective and intentional discipleship. We want to love like Jesus by increasing our presence in the community and world"

We glorify God and enjoy Him by acknowledging His inestimable worth through worship and praise that involves both adoration and action.

We glorify God and enjoy Him by acknowledging His inestimable worth through worship and praise (Rev. 4:11; Ps. 148:13).

Worship involves both adoration (Ps. 95:6) and action (Romans 12:1).

It is a holy activity that embraces our whole being and is rooted in a true and growing knowledge of our living God (John 4:23-24). Mount Zion IC3 is a community of saints grateful to God for His grace towards us in Jesus Christ.

We glorify God and enjoy Him by understanding that His desire is to magnify His name amongst all peoples through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We glorify God and enjoy Him by understanding that His desire for us is to magnify His name amongst all peoples through the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are called to share God’s good news with others and to take the gospel into all the world (Acts 1:8bRev 7:9). This is essentially an expression of Christian love towards people.

We desire to bring people of all nations and tongues into the all satisfying relationship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This begins with the consistent proclamation of the gospel in the power of the Holy Spirit. This is also a realization of the reality that the church is the mission of God in the world by virtue of being salt and light (Matt. 5:13-16).

This underscores that we are channels of God’s grace and not reservoirs. It also means that our mission is both institutional and relational. We are both a “city on a hill" (institutional) and personal witnesses (relational) of the gospel in word and deed.
